The VMS Choral Program began in 2012 with just 28 dedicated voices! Over the past thirteen years, our program has grown in size and stature, now hosting four different ensembles including both male and female singers, grades 6th - 8th.
The Choirs of Vandeventer MS
Beginning Treble Choir
In this fun-filled ensemble, 6th grade Choir students learn the basics of ensemble singing, individual vocal production and reading music. Building a foundation of solid vocal technique, this ensemble helps prepare our 6th grade students for concerts and competitions as well as learning the basics of sight singing.

Bella Voce Choir The Vandeventer Bella Voce Choir is for our 7th and 8th grade students. Building on the foundation learned in 6th Grade Choir, we continue to develop personal vocal technique and sight reading skills. Singing primarily two and three part music, this choir provides students with the opportunity to perform in concerts, festivals and competitions, both as individuals and as an ensemble.

Tenor Bass Choir
The Vandeventer Tenor Bass Choir is for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade male students. Building on the foundation learned in 6th Grade Choir, we continue to develop personal vocal technique and sight reading skills, focusing on the needs of the changing male voice. . Singing primarily two part music, this choir provides students with the opportunity to perform in concerts, festivals and competitions, both as individuals and as an ensemble.

Show Choir
The Vandeventer Show Choir is an auditioned vocal ensemble for 7th & 8th grade students that are concurrently enrolled in Concert Choir. With rehearsals after school, our Show Choir prepares pop and contemporary music for performances at concerts and various school events throughout the year.
