

Holly Cotten, Director
Ms. Cotten grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Kennedale High School. She has enjoyed music all her life, playing the piano and singing since a young age. Ms. Cotten studied voice at The University of Texas at Arlington and was fortunate to have many opportunities to perform all over the world including New York, Florida, California, Austria, Taiwan and Mexico. After completing her Bachelor of Music degree, Ms. Cotten worked in the country music industry in radio promotions as well as concert tour marketing in Nashville. It was during this time she felt drawn to the education field. In 1999, Ms. Cotten returned to Dallas/Fort Worth and began her career in music education, completing her teaching certification. Over the past 25 years, she has taught both elementary and middle school level music and choir in the DFW area and the greater Indianapolis area. Her choirs have received high awards at UIL Choral Competition, Sandy Lake Choral Festival, Hurricane Harbor Choral Festival, NRH2O Choral Festival, Pride of Texas Choral Festival and the ISSMA Music Competition.
Ms. Cotten lives in Corinth with her son, Ellis who attends Anderson Elementary in Frisco ISD. Outside of school, Ms. Cotten is active in her church music & womenÅ› ministries and enjoys movies, writing and laughing with friends and family.
